What is a Raised Mole?
Moles can either be flat or raised. Raised moles form due to the melanocytes proliferating between the dermis and epidermis (top and middle layers of skin), which gives the mole a raised or elevated appearance.
What is a Skin Tag?
Skin Tags are soft, skin-coloured growths on the face. They are very common and usually small and harmless.
Skin Tags tend to develop when the skin rubs together, such as armpits, thighs, eyelids and the neck.
What are Warts?
Common Warts usually appear as rough bumps on the skin, they can occur singly or in clusters. Warts are caused by the human papillomavirus and can spread if not treated.

What is a Seborrheic Keratosis?
A Seborrheic Keratosis is a common noncancerous (benign) skin growth caused by an excess build-up of the ordinary skin cells. More common in older people.
What are Cherry Angiomas?
Cherry angiomas are red because they are made up of blood vessels.
They become more common with increasing age and are often found on the chest and back.
What are Verrucas?
Verrucas are warts that occur on the soles of the feet. Warts and Verrucas are caused by a virus. They can spread to other people from contaminated surfaces or through close skin contact. You are more likely to spread a wart of verruca if your skin is wet or damaged.

What to expect during the procedure?
- The treatment involves a lesion consultation with a highly trained Nurse Practitioner. Dermatoscope photographs are taken, if lesion looks suspicious we will refer you back to GP, if the lesion is benign we can proceed with Plasma Pen removal.
- A local anaesthetic will be applied to numb the lesion
- Plasma Pen will be used to remove the lesion
- You will leave the clinic with a small scab that needs 2 weeks to heel.
- We advise no creams or lotion is applied to the heeling area.
Why choose ‘Plasma Pen’ for lesion removal?
At The Clinical Beauty Room we use Plasma Pen over surgical excision, cryotherapy and radio frequency. This is because Plasma Pen is a quick and painless treatment, only requiring one session. From years of experience using Plasma Pen for lesion removal we know it is a very successful treatment and patients are very happy with the end results.
